90.10.142 Little Deefoot Barn copy
While this photo is undated, the barely visible cars coming up the left side of Rt 9 mark this picture to the late 40s. To the left through the trees can be seen the Mary Finn house, one of a cluster of Victorian farm houses carelessly destroyed by developers in the 90s. To the right, Little Deerfoot Barn, a casualty of the 60s. This view just past today’s 495 is almost unrecognizable today: only the sign remains, modern, and with the correct spelling that the town made official in the 70s
